Haoyun Wang

Research Data Analyst

Haoyun Wang is a research data analyst at the Alan M. Voorhees Transportation Center (VTC) at the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy, Rutgers University. He received a dual Master’s degree in Urban Planning and Public Informatics, and a Graduate Certificate in Geospatial Information Science from Rutgers University. His research interests lie at the intersection of data science and social science, especially in addressing transportation and environmental issues through data-driven methods. He has extensive experience in geospatial analysis and data visualization and has contributed to a diverse body of research through projects with NJ TRANSIT, NJ Department of Transportation, and Middlesex County. His research on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on bikeshare usage has been published in the journals Transport Policy and Findings. As a devotee for active transportation, Haoyun hopes to apply his knowledge and skills in urban informatics to make cities more walkable, sustainable, and intelligent for future generations.
