Name: Jeffrey Dennis
Title: Travel Instructor
Jeffrey Dennis has been a Travel Instructor with NJTIP since July 2015. His primary responsibilities focus on the One-To-One Travel Instruction Program, teaching individuals with disabilities, senior citizens and others how to safely and independently utilize public transit. Mr. Dennis creates individualized travel curriculums for his customers to meet their independent travel goals and assists NJTIP with creating and editing customer video testimonials to help further the NJTIP mission.
Mr. Dennis most recently was the lead teacher, travel instructor and curriculum designer for Camden County Educational Services Commission’s pilot travel training program. Mr. Dennis led the travel training at Camden High School and Dr. Charles E. Brimm Medical High School, along with Program Manager, Louis Hoffman. Mr. Dennis instructed the Special Education students from Camden on how to use local public transportation to navigate their way to local employment opportunities as well as social and educational destinations.
Mr. Dennis received a B.A. from Rutgers University in 2008 in Psychology with a focus on Child & Adolescent Development. He worked for the Douglass Developmental Disability Center from 2008-2015 serving the needs of young adult students with autism spectrum disorders.
