Fatima Oliva

Research Project Coordinator

Fatima Oliva is a Research Project Coordinator for the Alan M. Voorhees Transportation Center at Rutgers University. Fatima has an extensive public engagement, community planning, and climate resilience background. Her professional interests include local governance, environmental justice, urban planning, and sustainability. Before joining VTC, Fatima was a Graduate Resilience Intern at ICLEI USA, supporting local governments in climate hazard planning. Fatima was also an AmeriCorps Member serving at New York City’s Department of Sanitation, where she engaged with NYC residents on composting.

Fatima received her B.A. in Environmental Studies from Hamilton College and her M.S. in Climate Science and Policy from Bard College.
