Jeffrey Dennis is a Senior Travel Instructor with NJTIP @ Rutgers, bringing over 10 years of experience with the program and nearly 20 years of experience supporting people with disabilities and older adults. He provides individualized and group-based travel instruction to help individuals use public transportation safely, confidently, and independently.

Jeffrey serves as the Manager and Principal Investigator for NJTIP’s One-on-One Travel Training Program for individuals referred through the NJ Transit Access Link eligibility process. He oversees program operations, instructional quality, reporting, and customer outcomes, supporting successful transitions to fixed-route travel when appropriate.

He also manages the Camden Special Education Services grant, delivering hybrid travel training to four schools in Camden City through virtual classroom instruction and in-person community trips that allow students to practice real-world transit skills.

For the past three years, Jeffrey has managed a mobility grant in partnership with Keep Middlesex Moving, expanding access to travel training for people with disabilities and older adults throughout Middlesex County.

Jeffrey supports NJTIP’s small-group programs with schools, community organizations, and older adult groups, and assists with customer testimonials, video recording, and editing to strengthen program outreach.

He serves as a Board Member and Chair of the Media Committee for the Association of Travel Instruction, has presented at the ATI National Conference for the past three years, and has been invited to serve as a panel expert on travel training and mobility.

Jeffrey holds a B.A. in Psychology from Rutgers University and previously worked at the Douglass Developmental Disabilities Center supporting young adults with autism spectrum disorders.
