NYMTC Community Planning Workshops

Principal Investigator: Miriam Salerno

Rutgers POET is currently working with the New York Metropolitan Transportation Council (NYMTC) to design and develop a series of ten community workshops throughout their region, which includes New York City, Nassau County, Suffolk County, Westchester County, Rockland County and Putnam County. The workshops will include an array of topics consistent with the region’s Regional Transportation Plan, Moving Forward, and will be conducted using a variety of formats, both virtual and hybrid. The purpose of the workshops is to provide planning assistance to local municipalities and to develop recommendations for local improvements consistent with the goals of Moving Forward and with an emphasis on preparing future project proposals for various federal and state funding sources.
