NJ TRANSIT sought to better understand:

• Whether new transit facility investment could be integrated with better food access for the low- and moderate-income riders passing through transit stations, as well as for nearby residents and workers.

• How to efficiently undertake the infrastructure investments intended to improve the user experience for NJ TRANSIT riders while ethically addressing the needs of sensitive communities that currently sought shelter at transit facilities.
