Shannon Eibert is the 2019 recipient of the Mortensen-Voorhees Award for Achievement in Transportation Studies. Shannon will be working for C&S Companies in Philadelphia as a Planner. She will be working on airport and surface transportation planning projects. Prof. Mike Smart noted that Shannon “… has demonstrated consistent excellence in her coursework and a strong work ethic and drive that will take her far.” This was in evidence throughout her time at the Bloustein School. Shannon was part of a team that produced a design project submitted to the Airport Cooperative Research Program. In this project the team evaluated design options for accommodating shared-ride services at airports. She was also the team awarded the APA-NJ 2018 Outstanding Student Project Award.
