The Alan M. Voorhees Transportation Center (VTC) has released its Strategic Plan 2025–2030, outlining a path forward for advancing transportation research, education, training, and public service over the next five years. Developed through collaboration with staff, partners, sponsors, and stakeholders, the plan positions VTC to address emerging transportation challenges and deliver practical solutions for New Jersey and beyond. 

The updated strategic plan reflects evolving transportation planning practices, emerging mobility trends, and a rapidly changing federal policy and funding landscape. It reaffirms VTC’s commitment to providing research, policy guidance, training, and technical assistance that help decision-makers advance transportation solutions for communities across New Jersey and the nation. 

The plan also reinforces VTC’s alignment with Rutgers University’s mission of education, research, and public service. Through innovative research, applied expertise, and meaningful partnerships, VTC will continue to improve mobility, strengthen communities, and support informed transportation decision-making through 2030 and beyond.
