Set the Table!

Feb 2, 2017 | Events

Do you wish it were easier, cheaper, and safer to get around or live in North Jersey?

Do you want to get involved locally but aren’t sure how?

Did you know YOU have a say in how federal transportation money is spent?

Rutgers University is seeking people between ages 18 and 29 living in the North Jersey region* to participate in Set the Table! by hosting a gathering of your friends and peers to get their ideas about how to make New Jersey a better place to live.

The North Jersey metropolitan area receives funding for transportation and other projects each year from the US Department of Transportation, and YOU can help decide how that money is spent. In exchange for your input, Rutgers will provide you with materials for a fun and engaging dinner with your friends and peers —including a stipend to pay for food!!!

Rutgers is working with the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority to engage and gather feedback, concerns and ideas on the what is most important today and in the future for the Regional Transportation Plan which covers the 13 counties that comprise the northern region of New Jersey.  That’s why we need your help and feedback!

Apply here!! — the deadline is March 1, 2017 — to host a dinner this Spring with your friends and make a difference in North Jersey!
